Since Pomeranians become attached to their owners they can sometimes take it to the next level.

Pomeranians are extremely prone to this condition which is usually mild but, it can develop into a severe case that can require surgery to repair.

All three of my Pomeranians have experienced this at one time or another.

The patella will just slip a bit and your Pomeranian will limp for a moment or two until it goes back into place.

In a severe case, it will not slip back into place.

Pomeranians and many other very small breeds are prone to collapsed tracheas.

A collapsed trachea can cause difficulty breathing to the extent that it can become life-threatening.

Be sure to never use a collar on a Pomeranian, always use a harness instead.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, the pros outweigh any cons when it comes to Pomeranians but, I love this breed.

When you are considering a breed of dog you do need to look at the entire picture and your lifestyle to confirm and figure out which breed is perfect for you.

One breed may be perfect for one person but, a nightmare for anything.

Look deep inside and reflect on your personality, family, and life before selecting a dog breed.
